This package must be dropped due to it relying on llvm versions 5-8 which are not supported by Gentoo. I got the same error as the bug reporter. The reason for this error is that according to the homepage https://github.com/BoutrosLaboratory/bamql, only llvm 5-8 are supported. The current stable version is 11.1 and the lowest version that still has an ebuild is 10.0. Therefore this package's dependencies are no longer supported by Gentoo. Short of updating the entire package, there is no way for this package to be successfully installed.
