If there's any interest, you could do a Github pull request for us to > process updating the package? > > https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Gentoo_Github I've looked into this and apparently yarn 2.* is not meant to be installed globally but rather on per-project basis (https://yarnpkg.com/getting-started/install), meaning that when you run 'npm -g install yarn' you still get yarn 1.* Taking that into account it seems like there's no need to bump this to 2.* at all?
