Description Radoslaw Stachowiak (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-12-21 15:08:28 UTC
i plan to version bump

net-analyzer/xprobe-0.0.2 to net-analyzer/xprobe-0.2.1

although currently author calls it xprobe2, i prefer to stay with
xprobe because:
1. version sheme is compatible
2. xprobe1 is no longer developped and the same feature as xprobe2
which is simple rewritte.
3. we dont pollute portage unnecessary.

please let me know what you think about it ?

Reproducible: Always

Yeah, I saw that was a bit funky with that package. My vote would be to just call it as its not w/o any references to the version.

hmmm i'm not sure if i understood you correctly, could you please state simply yes or no, to my proposition (new package will be called: net-analyzer/xprobe-0.2.1) ? :)

Sure, go ahead with net-analyzer/xprobe-0.2.1. Don't forget to mention it at the top of the ebuild, though.
