I just emerged abiword-2.2.2 successfully on my gentoo ppc64,but it didnt work properly. The gui was brought up beautifully when opened, but I could not scroll client text area; Page-down, Page-up, slide on scrollbar, or mouse wheel would not function at all after I opened a large, multi-page text file. I could only write or view the first page, the rest pages wouldnt be shown up. Any progress in solving the problem?
I solved this problem by compiling Abiword-2.2.3 using gcc-3.4.3-r1. The step for solution : 1. ACCEPT_KEYWORDS=~ppc64 emerge =sys-devel/gcc-3.4.3-r1 2. ACCEPT_KEYWORDS=~ppc64 emerge abiword 3. emerge gcc (back to stable version of gcc) Thank you.
Next, I will investigate whether there are any bug and relation of Bug #80187.
my bad... better sentence is the following. Next, I investigate whether it is related to the problem of bug #80187.
I did just as you instructed, and it worked! I also compiled totem and rhythmbox with 3.4.3, the previous problems(with 3.4.1) were gone away too. May be there are some problems with gcc-3.4.1, the 3.4.3 version should be marked with stable. Thank you very much, I realy appreciate you excellent work.
gcc-3.4.3-r1 is stable now. this bug should be fixed then.
