Description Nathan Powell 2004-12-19 05:42:02 UTC
Hello,

I have updated the ebuild for perlpanel. The latest release is .0.9.0. I was able to make it compile on my system without error (gentoo version-2004.3 on x86). This was my first attempt at messing with ebuilds so I hope I have done it correctly (read:Caveat Compilor :)

perlpanel is already in the portage tree, and is currently maintained by Michael Cummings.

Thanks!

Nathan

"maintained by Michael Cummings" is a little misleading ;) I'm just the dev that keeps responding...

ok, that little personal joke aside, adding to tree, and unmasked for x86.

My bug was marked a duplicate, but what about the optional dependencies I discussed? They are not resolved in the new ebuild. See bug 69661 for details, but basically, xmms-perl is not needed unless using xmms (USE="xmms", and gnome-vfs or whatever it was that was required (been a while since I tried this) is only needed for gnome menus (USE="gnome") or seti. This could greatly lower dependencies, so could this be looked into?
