Netatalk 2.0.1 requires the berkeley database (sys-libs/db) but it's not in the depends clause of the ebuild for 2.0.1.

Expected Results:  
The netatalk 2.0.1 ebuild will inform portage to install the Berkeley database package if it is not already 
installed.

This bug is also present in the previous versions of netatalk.  I was able to reproduce this bug with version 1.6.4-r1.

This should be fixed since it would be rather easy to fix by just modifying the dependencies.

netatalk needs a developer to take up maintenance.
