I have marked ant as ~ppc64 some hours ago. (I didn't noticed this bug...) Here is what I assume what causes this behaviour for you: You are running a glibc, which is not nptl enabled. Please emerge linux26-headers and reemerge your glibc with nptl in your USE flags. Markus
I emerged linux26-headers and glibc-2.3.4-20041102 again, but the problem is same as before. I looked at libc.so.6 by /lib/libc.so.6, and it said the nptl extension's available. I also has problems in compiling nss-3.9.2-r2, with "segmentation fault" message. May be something wrong with my USE variales? could you paste you emerge info? Thank you.
Here is my emerge info. Could you please post yours, too? yangdh: We realy need more information!
The problem has been solved for a while. I disabled java jit compiler, everything went fine(IBM jdk 1.4.2, 20040917). Several days ago I updated many packages on my system(I don't remember all these packages), now the java is working even with jit compiler enabled. I can compile and run eclipse 3.1, moneydance, azureus, lumaqq, jboss 4.01, and cocoon 2 without a problem with jit. I think now you could close this bug.
That are good news!
