After re-emerging thunderbird 0.8, attempting to start thunderbird fails with message "can't find browser! :-("

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge thunderbird (version 0,8)
2. start thunderbird ($ thunderbird OR $ thunderbird-bin )
3.

Actual Results:  
Thunderbird fails to load with message "can't find browser! :-("

Expected Results:  
Thunderbird should start!

if this is still an issue with latest stable open a new bug report please,
closing as obsolete.
