Hello, Just featured on Slashdot is gaim-otr, a plugin that allows "plausible deniability". I'm attaching an ebuild for it. "Encrypt an IM, prove (at the time) that it came from you, and deny it later. The authentication works only when the message is sent; anybody can forge all the messages he wants afterwards (toolkit included). Captured or archived messages prove nothing. And forward secrecy means Big Brother can't read your messages even if he wiretaps you AND grabs your computer later on. All the gooey goodness of crypto, with none of the consequences!" I suggest it be put under x11-plugins/gaim-otr.
Created attachment 46167 [details] gaim-otr-1.0.1.ebuild ebuild for gaim-otr
I think main URL is http://www.cypherpunks.ca/otr/
Added.
Created attachment 46168 [details] gaim-otr-1.0.1.ebuild The URL line contains ${PN}. This b0rks for me, so I changed it to "/otr/" due to the pacakge [apparently] being named gaim-otr, as opposed to otr. Other than that, I second portage inclusion. We are already using it in our internal portage tree. [With this ebuild, I might add]
I already added it with the main host URL, not a mirror.
I apologize for the URL problem. Thanks for your quick response.
