Description Steffen Schwientek 2004-12-15 10:29:40 UTC
OK. longer description:
Unfortunately I have glibc added to /etc/portage/keywords, and it upgraded to 2.3.4.20041102.
Since then I had several problems:
a)I can't untar some files, an strace tar unreveal: there is a problem at /usr/lib/libcrypto.so.0.9.7 file, which belongs to openssl package.
b) I have several problems to use scp from the "broken" mashine (A) to my laptop.
But I can copy files from my laptop via scp to the the broken mashine.

I also tried to revert back to an stable glibc, but emerge finish after untarring the files.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

root@epia distfiles # emerge info

you need to post some actual error messages

Created attachment 46072 [details]
tar -xvf portage.tar

tar was recompiled cleanly. However, it can't untar potage.

tar -xvf portage.tar

For the scp thing, I must correct myself.

I can scp to some mashines, but not to my laptop. Is perhaps something wrong
with sshd on the laptop.
Comment 4 Steffen Schwientek 2004-12-15 14:42:56 UTC
The problem I described above, are caused by the ldap configuration.

After changing /etc/nsswitch.conf to another configuration (without ldap) all the problems are gone.

No I recompile ldap, go thru my LDAP configuration.

Shame myself ;-(

(change the bugreport to invalid)
