Description Maxim Konyushikhin 2004-12-14 16:23:40 UTC
This is a problem in sim ICQ client.

I have English locale in my kde box and I write messages in russian with cyrillic encoding (cyr1251). If I change locale to French, then I don't see any messages at all: no dates, no text, no history. This is an example of console's output:

Entity: line 1: error: Bytes: 0xE9 0x63 0x65 0x6D
330</from>
<date>Mardi 14 D
                                                                               ^
00:45:37 [WRN] Parse XML error: <message direction="0"><icon>message</icon><from>00000</from>
<date>Mardi 14 Decembre 2004</date><hour>22</hour><minute>46</minute><second>34</second>
Всё!
</message>

Re-assign.

I've added svn snapshot of sim into portage tree (0.9.4_pre060114). It's still hard masked.

You may wish to test and report if this bug is fixed. To emerge sim you need to unmask it with the following commands

echo "net-im/sim" >> /etc/portage/package.unmask
echo "net-im/sim ~arch" >> /etc/portage/package.keywords

where arch is your either x86 or amd64. Then emerge sim.

Feedback is wellcome. :)

sim-0.9.4_pre060131.ebuild is in portage. Check if you can reproduce this bug. If you can reopen.
