This is not the same as sys-fs/dd-rescue. Apparently, it does the job of both dd_rescue and dd_rhelp - bug #52435

On another note... Could someone please tell me why there's a general tendency to replace "_" with "-" in Gentoo Linux, especially since this is, usually, exactly the other way around in other projects, and since "_" is a perfectly valid character for the package name according to the Gentoo Ebuild policy: http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/devrel/handbook/handbook.xml?part=3&chap=1 ? Why rename packages unnecessarily?

I didn't know if there's a special mirror:// syntax for Savannah like there is
for Sourceforge for example... If there is you may want to modify the SRC_URI
