I've been contributing to the overlay for multiple years, and have push access to it. I maintain the neuroscience stack on it, and I know for a fact that that bit works very well on about a dozen machines admined by me and a few collaborators (possibly also on many others judging by the fact that we occasionally get contributions from neuroscientists). I'd like to clean house a bit on Gentoo Science, but working on packages which I don't use myself will require interfacing better with other contributors. For that I need access to close stale issues and PRs on GH so that it looks like less like a grayfield.
