When you double click a file (not a launcher) in nautilus, and a program's been associated with it, then the file should load up in the program. The program should also be started with startup notification. This is the default behavior, see http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107544
The problem is, with gnome 2.8's new mime system, it doesn't work. How would I fix this?
