computer freezes using any bootoptions while booting one of the given livecd's.
the lockup occurs randomly and not at a specific point.
the cursor stops blinking if booted with fb - without it doesn't.
the 2004.2 livecd boots without any problems (fb and nofb kernels).

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
boot 2004.3-r1 or 2004.3 on an 'asus m6811n' and wait a few seconds
Actual Results:  
the computer freezes

Expected Results:  
normal bootup

Try 2004.3-r1 (I'm not interested in anything previous) and try using "gentoo-nofb noapic nosmp acpi=off" and see how far it gets.

Also, what hardwrae is that Asus notebook?
