using: install-x86-minimal-2004.3-r1.iso

the firmware should be in:

/usr/lib/hostplug/firmware

but is for some reason located in:

/usr/lib/hostplug/firmware/usr/lib/hostplug/firmware

this prevents the ipw2100 module from loading.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. boot live cd
2. modprobe ipw2100
3.

Actual Results:  
said it couldnt load firmware

Expected Results:  
loaded firmware

Yeah... apparently, I need to actually *check* my tarball before putting out a CD with it.

Anyway, this has been fixed in catalyst and should be resolved for 2005.0's release.

Just a note: firmware should now be in /lib/firmware.

This should be fixed in 2005.0
