According to https://mirrorstats.gentoo.org/rsync/ , rsync26.us.gentoo.org has not responded in the last 30 days.

I have dropped this from the rsync.us.gentoo.org rotation for the time being.

Please contact the host and inquire if rsync will continue here for the gentoo repository and to fix it if affirmative.
