Description Kaiting Chen 2004-12-10 21:19:58 UTC
When clicking on the "View..." button for the Java Application Runtime Settings under the Java tab (it manages JNLP), the Control Panel crashes. It does this every time. Recently, I hacked up the ControlPanel script and made it print verbose. Here's the related output:

[Loaded java.lang.Process from /usr/local/sun-jdk-1.5.0/lib/rt.jar]
[Loaded java.lang.UNIXProcess from /usr/local/sun-jdk-1.5.0/lib/rt.jar]
[Loaded java.lang.UNIXProcess$Gate from /usr/local/sun-jdk-1.5.0/lib/rt.jar]
[Loaded java.lang.UNIXProcess$1 from /usr/local/sun-jdk-1.5.0/lib/rt.jar]
[Loaded java.lang.UNIXProcess$1$1 from /usr/local/sun-jdk-1.5.0/lib/rt.jar]
[Loaded java.lang.UNIXProcess$1$1$1 from /usr/local/sun-jdk-1.5.0/lib/rt.jar]

Then, the Control Panel freezes.

Reproducible: Always

By the way, this is sun-jdk-1.5.0.

hmm, what do you actually mean with:

''View..." button for the Java Application Runtime Settings under the Java tab (it manages JNLP)' ? do you mean something kde related? maybe it's just me but i'm not really sure about this. the output of 'emerge info' would also be a great help. thanks.
