please xchat mantainer, take a look to this link:

http://dfx.homeip.net/xchat/xchat-passive-dcc-0.2.patch

this is a patch to make xchat to work with passive dcc
VERY important for many users out there.
Is it possible to include this patch on next xchat ebuild ?

Thanks a LOT.

okay.. Ive read the patch some..
now, exactly -what- does this do and how? How well tested is it and should we
really add it to the mainline tree? this is some fairly major changes to
xchat's dcc conenctions and I'm not sure Im in favour of adding this right as
things are. (1.4 release pending)

Great news from the developer of this patch:

FYI: That patch has been included in the main xchat 1.8.10 distrib (and
probably in the most recent 1.9 as well). Convince the maintainer to use
the most recent xchat version and you should be done. ;)
