Description CaptainBlood 2020-09-02 01:12:01 UTC
When I saw net-misc/curl-7.72.0 doing stable on amd64, I didn't rsync, but rather keyworded and installed.
Already activated quiche USE flag raised again and net-libs/quiche got installed.
After today's rsync, emerge world for update raised a rebuild cancelling the quiche USE flag.

What happened?
quiche use flag remains declared in ebuild.
Did the quiche USE flag got unmasked then masked again at some kinda profile level?

Thks 4 ur attention, interest & support.

Reproducible: Always

From a quick look in git I don't see any changes regarding quiche masks in over a year.

There is a stable mask for it for, so being stable may have activated it if it's not in package.accept_keywords.

Either way I'd keep those uncertain things on the forums rather than bug tracker.

build log before rsync

I confirm rebuild after rsync did desactivate quiche.
Don't think that latter build requires to be uploaded.

Sorry to say I don't think anything is uncertain here, the behavior is tracable.

I have one file per package in /etc/portage/package.use.
The file for curl hasn't changed since 2020-07-06.

Should this end as WONTFIX, I wouldn't mind though.

Yeah, this belongs in the forums.
