Description Gerrit Lazer 2004-12-08 15:50:24 UTC
Hi Folks,

the init script put the server.ini into /var/lib/teamspeak-server/
doesn't fit it better in /etc/teamspeak2? ^^

regards

Gerrit Lazer

yup
Comment 2 Christian Parpart (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-12-08 15:58:37 UTC
some notes by me:
* /var/run/teamspeak2-server/server.pid shall also be /var/run/teamspeak2.pid
* server_linux executable shall (maybe?) be teamspeak2d
* depend() is missing a `use mysql` line, in case, it's been emerged with mysql useflag enabled
* on order to comply fully to FHS, it shall be completely migrated to the file system w/o having that /opt/teamspeak* dir et al.
** the binary shall go into /usr/bin/, the static html pages shall go into /usr/share/teamspeak2/htdocs or /usr/lib/teamspeak2/htdocs or even /var/lib/.... I'd have to do some further readings on the FHS pages to know more about ;-)
** same goes for /sql/ dirs etc.

fixing use mysql and configuration file location.
other stuff is left as-is.
