This has some serious problems on amd64. The client mounts nothing -- all clients just get stuck forever while mounting.

I'm running 4.9.68, if that makes a difference.

I see 2 connection already established between the client and server and the client still hangs (but does not with 2.4). one is port 2049, the other is a random port.
