Description Ulenrich 2020-08-19 10:52:48 UTC
2910_TVP5150-Fix-build-issue-by-selecting-REGMAP-I2C.patch
has been already applied by upstream
So it patches an entry above unintended by fuzzy and
"config VIDEO_TVP514X"
also gets an
"select REGMAP_I2C"

Reproducible: Always

A full log of the output would be helpful.
Comment 2 Ulenrich 2020-08-19 11:24:38 UTC
I am not using emerge, but a full patch output:
---
Applying patch patches/genbase/2910_TVP5150-Fix-build-issue-by-selecting-REGMAP-I2C.patch
patching file drivers/media/i2c/Kconfig
Hunk #1 succeeded at 387 with fuzz 2 (offset 9 lines).

Explanation: I have my own linux kernel build script, but I use the Gentoo patches.
I look how these patches behave, especially if a fuzzy patch arrives.

So, this is no bug
if gentoo-sources emerges with fuzzy turned off while patch works

Thanks for reporting. Removed from genpatches 5.7 and 5.8 for next release.

Make that next, next release.

Just missed for the next round.
