The problem is that linux-info.eclass assumes that a missing .config file in /usr/src/linux is a problem, even though for example I don't need one, because I am using KERNEL_OUTPUT.

Please consider removing the "-s ${KV_DIR}/.config" test.

Hi, Sorry I comitted a patch without first verifying this.
I have now fixed this and comitted to CVS as v1.8
