Reading https://www.mail-archive.com/gentoo-dev@lists.gentoo.org/msg90209.html I was thinking if it would be possible to add a suggestion in the error message to try --changed-deps like it is done with backtracking. In my case I didn't notice the problem because I am used to append the option when I hit issues like that, but I guess that for other users it could be not obvious to try that Thanks a lot!
