It is caused by an old quickcheck version. Newer one should work.

The bug cannot be considered obsolete until older versions of quickcheck are in portage and/or installed on an user's system. It should be better to update the DEPEND var inside dev-haskell/pandoc-types-1.20 ebuild by forcing min requirement as quickcheck-2.13.2
