Description Timmy Douglas 2004-12-05 14:49:49 UTC
because of this, i couldn't start any more programs. another problem is that the scim panel can never remember where i put it. i'm running a dual monitor setup with 14 desktops on each monitor where the windows aren't shared between the desktops.

$ xlsclients -d :0
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: Maximum number of clients reached
xlsclients: unable to open display ":0"

i kill a program then:

Which version of scim are you using?
The latter seems upstream bug, but
the former might be Gentoo package's one.
Comment 2 Timmy Douglas 2004-12-05 23:31:33 UTC
*  app-i18n/scim
      Latest version available: 1.0.1-r1
      Latest version installed: 1.0.1-r1

*  app-i18n/scim-chinese
      Latest version available: 0.4.2
      Latest version installed: 0.4.2

Sorry for the delay. Please try scim-1.2.x and scim-pinyin (scim-chinese
was renamed to scim-pinyin). This might be solved in that version.
Comment 4 Timmy Douglas 2005-05-12 13:09:34 UTC
seems like newer versions fix this because i haven't ran into it lately
