I've got the same issue than in bug #35882.

In fact when I try to open a file, all I have is a window who say me that anjuta had a crash. But the stranger is that I always have that when I use Xfce for my session. But when I use gnome, all goes just well.

Oh,yes, something else: under XFCE I have this error who doesn't appear with gnome:(it's in french)

I have also something from bug buddy abou the crash, so I post. (I don't think it's usuable, but we never know...)

Any XFCE guys able to give some insight? I haven't a freaking clue.
Comment 4 Masse Nicolas 2005-01-06 10:59:19 UTC
Well, it seems it have something to do with gtk-engines. I unmerge gtk-engines and emerge gtk-engines-pixmap and gtk-engines-pixbuf (for another problem), and now anjuta doesn't crash anymore. (It didn't solve my other problem :) )
So you can perhaps mark this bug as resolved or with a lower priority, since it does not perturb me anymore.

don't thnk this is/was an xfce problem...your bug trace gives a hint with mgicchikn which is a gtk-engine/theme
