The OpenOffice suite consists of components that not all users require / need, and by providing a DO_NOT_COMPILE option, time and space are saved in the compilation of OpenOffice. KDE already has a function like DO_NOT_COMPILE, perhaps for OO and OO-x too? This would obviously only apply to the source and not the -bin versions. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:

Definately won't do that, messing with the OOo-build system is already very difficult, also I'm not sure this would be possible at all. If you are able to come up with a solution, reopen the bug, until then: Closing
One thing we might do is to actually make the sdk available as I believe it actually build.
