There is a new version of Ximian's OpenOffice.org! I got it merged bumping 1.3.6 -> 1.3.7 Some notes about it: USE="java" is broken because of some OOo 1.9.62 backports. One diff needs to be dropped from gcc34.patch.bz2 which is that one from module psprint. gcc34-gnome.patch I cannot test - no Gnome environment! Anyone? Have phun! :) Hanno Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Expected Results: openoffice-ximian-1.3.7 version?
Created attachment 45186 [details, diff] editing apply to not to apply ximian's gcc34 patches (they fail)
are there any binaries available of this ximian-openoffice?
erm? there is a package if not i would not mention it. Andreas advised me already! ;) module psprint is fixed in CVS. it is again from m46 instead of m62. you guys may get that to do a +java fix. if -java it can be still m62 version of psprint, thanks.
What's the current state of this one? Why is it not in portage? Thanks!
@LuisMi: Cause the java functionality is broken and it has not a lot of new stuff anyway so I intend to skip this version and wait for a working one
Is the bug where F5 in slide shows makes the navigation window appear *always* below the slide show window still there? It was in 1.3.6 and it renders xOO.o completely unusable for slideshows. The problem is not in "plain" openoffice 1.1.3 or 1.1.4
just did a small test slideshow, F9 starts it, F5 let that navigator appear (on upper left side) and F5 again let it disappear again, etc. do you mean that? it works here with 1.3.7.
As no new upstream release has been showing up, I have now put 1.3.7 into portage, included is fix for the java build problem, so it should be fine. Thanks everyone for reporting and helping.
