Description Don Seiler (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-12-02 07:07:48 UTC
I was hoping to add a conditional dependency on net-www/mozilla for gaim and gaim-encryption. However net-www/mozilla is not keyworded for arm or ppc64.

Asking you ARCH maintainers to either test and keyword it or can we use.mask it in your profiles?
Comment 1 Markus Rothe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-12-02 09:22:07 UTC
mozilla currently builds, but doesn't work on ppc64. this should be fixed in the next few weeks.
Comment 2 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2004-12-02 21:54:45 UTC
use.mask it for arm please
Comment 3 Don Seiler (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-12-13 11:40:26 UTC

Comment 5 Markus Rothe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-01-15 00:53:20 UTC
mozilla/firefox/thunderbird compile, but won't start. This bug is on the ppc64 TODO list :-)

Is there any progress in mozilla for ppc64?
Comment 7 Markus Rothe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-15 08:57:36 UTC
sloooow progress on ppc64. We now know what we need to write, but that is ppc64 asm and I cannot write ppc64 asm. tgall can do so.. he just needs some time.
