Is it possible to add Chris Kennedy's IVTV patch to mplayer, perhaps with a ivtv use-flag. The patch can be found at http://67.18.1.101/~ckennedy/ ivtv/ivtv_apps/MPlayer-1.0pre5-ivtv-osd-4.diff

It add the possibility to view movies using the ivtv-fb driver (e.g. Hauppauge PVR-350 card etc..) to mplayer, very handy for Mythtv users using this card.

Reproducible: Always

Ok, well, at this moment mplayer pre5 is a security release, so that won't be touched. That leaves pre6. However.. this patch probably wouldn't work because the codebase change is too great. Also, this patch modifies the ENTIRE file of config.h, instead of the applicable areas changed.. a major no no in my opinion (like if I have another patch that needs to apply there.. it won't work or this patch will). A better idea is to get the patch author to get this patch into mainstream mplayer.
