See the URL: when using the autoscroll feature in firefox using the middle mouse button, it shows a trail. This problem occurs with X.org with composite ON. Else it just behaves like in Xfree86 where I never experienced this problem either. Mousewheel up/down do not have these problems, and if you scroll the page a bit, the trail goes away. I tried running without my profile directory, but it made no difference. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Get X.org and enable composite extension 2. Get firefox and enable autoscroll 3. View random page and hold down your middle mouse button to scroll Actual Results: The autscroll feature works as it should, but leaves a trail as seen in the pic in the URL. Expected Results: Not leave a trail... 1637$2 jaguar $ emerge -p xorg-x11 mozilla-firefox nvidia-kernel nvidia-glx && uname -a These are the packages that I would merge, in order: Calculating dependencies ...done! Nothing we can do about this, looks like it's already been reported to nvidia. Please follow any further issues on the upstream (freedesktop.org) bug.
This is a binary driver problem.
