In a discussion with legal counsel regarding copyright filings and some of my prior work, I'd like to add some entries to the AUTHORS file, to cover both the work I've done on my own time for Gentoo, as well as the significant work I've previously been paid to do. Some of this development long predated Git, but is still present in the tree. I have not included contract development that I've done for Gentoo in the primary list, as my business contracts stipulated that I retained copyright unless otherwise agreed. Robin H. this sounds similar to the reasoning used for adding Sony (which I was fine with). Thinking on that now I think I'd personally prefer to to have the authors listed as a key: [value] type setup where the key is the author and the value is a list of 'facilitators' that helped. That's a bigger change though :D
The foundation voted at the AGM to allow addition of names in the first list. The format change is in the domain of the community and council, please follow up with them on any formatting changes. Thanks, -A
