FWIW, it doesn't pass FEATURES=test here, because of a dependency on PyWavelets >=1.1.1:

error: Could not find suitable distribution for Requirement.parse('PyWavelets>=1.1.1')

This is problematic as we only offer 0.5.2 in Portage.

As I can see, pywavelet-1.1.1 ebuild is waiting for a review:

and the corresponding bug is open:
https://bugs.gentoo.org/734152

Probably, this one should depend on the #734152...

Also, it might be reasonable to add this version bump as a github pull request
