Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge -upD world

Actual Results:  
 emerge -upD world

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

no, the DEPEND is correct

your profile is out of date ...  but i have no idea what profile you're using since you neglected to provide `emerge info` like you were supposed to so i'm going to guess it was the gcc34 one

emerge world fails w/ profile 2004.2/gcc34/2.6

my profile default-linux/x86/2004.2/gcc34/2.6 arch=~x86
just autoconf 2.59-r5 installed

using profile default-linux/x86/2004.3 everything works fine

can't we put a info somewhere to use a newer/other profile?

i'm an old gentoo user but i don't notice that profiles where moved :(

Sorry for the noice, I solved some other (temporary) problem a while back with a copy to /etc/portage/profiles/packages and forgot all about it...
