I've got 2 soundcards, a SBLive and a i810 onboard. I try to set the keybinding for lower-volume, mute, rise volume... but the keybinding don't use the right card. I mean, it works because for exemple, when I push mute, it mute a card but the second one (onboard) and I want it to mute the default(first) one. My alsa config seems good because all other application use the sbLive without extra config (xmms, mplayer, gnome-sound-applet, xine,...) but this progs use the other card Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.set a key for a sound related binding 2.use it 3. Actual Results: The binding is used with the second card Expected Results: Should works with the first one. Just out of curiosity, if you change your sound-slot configuration for alsa, does it work?
No, it doesn't work (at least for me). This is definately a keybindings-related bug - the volume panel works properly. lspci: Multimedia audio controller: Creative Labs SB Live! EMU10k1 (rev 0a)
Did you try to change the order in which the modules are loaded in /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6 ? AFAIK, the card which has its module loaded first will be controlled by the keybindings. Of course, it should be at slot 0 in the alsa config already, as mentioned in comment 1.
