The kphone-4.0.4 tarball has a makefile in the translations directory that tries to directly install files into /usr/share. This will require an additional makefile patch to allow kphone to be installed without disabling the sandbox. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge kphone-4.0.4 Actual Results: The kphone ebuild dies with a sandbox violation Expected Results: The kphone ebuild should patch the offending makefile, thus allowing the package to be built and installed with the sandbox enabled.
It seems 4.0.5 correctly uses DISTDIR in the makefiles. Could you try that? (but this evil program should really start using automake)
Any news on this bug? Have you tried kphone-4.0.5?
Closing because I get no answers from the reporter and not any other similar bug report. I'll remove the kphone 4.0.4 ebuild.
