Description Kurt McKee 2004-11-29 08:55:22 UTC
When playing music in Rhythmbox or Muine (both using Gstreamer backend), if I allow the music to play for more than 2 seconds and then attempt to go back to a previous song, whichever music app I'm using will crash. I'm using the ogg format.

I'm using:
media-libs/gstreamer-0.8.7
media-sound/muine-0.6.3
media-sound/rhythmbox-0.8.8-r1

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Begin playing a song
2. Wait 3 seconds
3. Click "Previous song" in application

Actual Results:
Muine crashes and disappears offscreen.
Rhythmbox freezes and has to be forcefully killed.

Expected Results:
The previous song should have begun playing (or, at least in Rhythmbox, the
current song would have begun from the beginning again).

muine with gst has known problems with popping up error dialogs, muine is not stable in gentoo for a reason.

rb i can't reproduce.

What version gst-plugins?

Also do this:

gconftool-2 -g /system/gstreamer/0.8/default/audiosink

If it is alsasink, make sure you are at least gst-plugins 0.8.5-r1 and gst-plugins-alsa-0.8.5-r1.
