The example on the kernel configuration for genkernel users miss ramdisk=XXXX on this line:
kernel /kernel-2.4.25-gentoo root=/dev/ram0 init=/linuxrc real_root=/dev/hda3

(as a grub newbie i lost a lot of time looking around why gentoo halt on startup:)

Expected Results:  
please correct with 
kernel /kernel-2.4.25-gentoo root=/dev/ram0 init=/linuxrc ramdisk=8192
real_root=/dev/hda3

i forgot to mention that the bug is in italian translation of the handbook

Hi,
maybe you're looking at an old version of the manual..
the ramdisk setting is not missing on the bootloader page.

Am i missing something?

Remove grub and install grub-static.
I don't have problem's with grub-static.
