Almost all settings sections under Appearance show no preview images. Not sure why. Recently updated and I know this used to work. Please see attached screenshots. Not reproducible on any of my systems. Still a problem with 5.19.2?
I'm fully updated and still getting this issue. I can post all my installed packages and do a bit more testing, especially with a new user. The last resort is to do emerge -e @world I guess.

I found this https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=241275 but I really am not sure what this user means by some widget in the tray that allowed picking rasterisation mode (presumably this is what the options represent).
Same output, but no problem with preview images.
I can confirm this is happening to me on a system with VIDEO_CARDS="nvidia", as per the original reporter, but not one using VIDEO_CARDS="intel". I will follow up with this when I get the chance to switch over to "nouveau". I suspect that the GPU driver could be to blame here.
Can you post some screenshots to compare against mine?
I've had some issues with illness, but I'll hopefully get those here by the end of the week.
So. Annoyingly I now cannot reproduce this issue. Nouveau worked fine, and then when I switched back to nvidia-drivers to get the reproduction screens it worked flawlessly. I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

I had the same issue in plasma 5.18.5 / kde 5.71.0, but in the different distrib (OpenSuse). Fixed by this way: kcmshell5 qtquicksettings set all to "automatic" It seems the problem is in ~/.config/kdeglobals, before the fix there was [QtQuickRendererSettings] SceneGraphBackend=software
