I agree, this is quite confusing to have the team named "releng", the IRC channel #gentoo-releng, the alias releng@ but bugmail go to release@.

Infra, as release engineering lead, I'd like to request that we get rid of release@ (or direct it to releng@) and change the release engineering bugzilla account to releng@.

The following changes have been made to the user account release@gentoo.org:
The login is now releng@gentoo.org.

As I said on IRC the actual alias contents are editable by all developers on /var/mail/alias/misc/{release,releng} so feel free to edit them to your liking.
