Call me pedantic, but the license in portage for Java is restricted and doesn't give clear redistribution rights to the end user.

The one on the website however does .. any chance we can have the (new?) one that give a little more leeway when it comes to legal issues?

Thanks for the notification.  Added the new license, relabled the java ebuilds. 
Fixed in CVS.
