I've made a few changes to the ebuild to get it to compile on gcc3.2. It has support for chewing and bimsphone. Please try the ebuild and let me know if it needs more work. We are still waiting on the freeze to end before I can get it into the portage tree. Stuart Note this ebuild no longer deps on kcfonts(bug #7260)
Created attachment 4627 [details] ebuild tarball for xcin-2.5.3 You'll also need the tarball for libtabe (bug #7257)
get xcin ebuild tarball from here, and testing xcin ebuild tarball , That seem is OK.. testing in gentoo 1.4-rc1. Maybe I change Resolution to FIXED ? or need someone commit it?
commited to cvs.
Hello, Thanks for your efforts on making gentoo to speak Chinese. It is really good to know that there are people doing this. I am a newbie to bugzilla; therefore, do not know the correct way of reporting bugs. Hopefully, I am not doing silly things here. 1. From the latest "xcin-2.5.3_pre2.ebuild" of CVS, the "--with-xcin-dir" is "/usr/lib/X11/xcin25". However, the "XCIN_DEFAULT_DIR" in /etc/xcinrc points to "/usr/lib/xcin" which does not exists. Will it cause any problem? well, that seems okay to me; just dont know why. 2. Also, I spent a lot time in configuring the font settings in xcinrc and finally realized that the rgstry and encoding field of my big5 font must exactly be "big5-0". It can not be say "big5.et24m-0" eventhough that is what I put in the xcinrc file. Should we pust some comment to pkg_postinst() to tell people some recommending font packages? such as zh-kcfonts or twmoefonts. Regards, Ethan
