Description marco 2004-11-21 14:01:01 UTC
I'm trying to get a serial bluetooth connectio working. Almost everything is working (Kbluetoothd incl. file transfer, Binding etc). The rfcomm module is also loaded, but no /dev/rfcomm[0-x] is generated neither by devfs nor by udev.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

lsmod output >

/dev/rfcomm[0-9] are created on demand when an rfcomm connection has been established. if you want them created permanently, you need to edit /etc/bluetooth/rfcomm.conf

i'm not aware that anything needs them to be created. if you do it from the command line, you need to do it as root, eg:

rfcomm connect <dev> <btaddr> [channel]
