I cannot build dev-db/mariadb-10.4.12 and sys-libs/glibc-2.30-r8 with gcc-9.3.0. However, these packages build fine with gcc-9.2.0-r2. I have attached (compressed because of bugzilla file size limit) both build logs for these two packages.

Yes, both build fine with -j1.
