Comment 1 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-11-22 17:16:10 UTC
time to emerge -vuDp world looks like. You're runing an old automake. Upgrade to the latest stable stuff in portage and try it again please. Builds fine here. Go ahead and reopen after you've upgraded.
Comment 2 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-12-04 15:39:16 UTC
no reply and continues to work fine for me. Closing.
Comment 3 Konstantin Münning 2005-04-28 07:13:10 UTC
I have the same problem on media-libs/sdl-mixer-1.2.5-r1. It is a new installation so all tools are up to date (emerge -vuDp world outputs nothing). Here the exact messages:

>>> Unpacking SDL_mixer-1.2.5.tar.gz to /var/tmp/portage/sdl-mixer-1.2.5-r1/work
 * Applying 1.2.5-gcc3.patch ...                                          [ ok ]

!!! ERROR: media-libs/sdl-mixer-1.2.5-r1 failed.
!!! Function src_unpack, Line 32, Exitcode 2
!!! autoconf
!!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, NOT this status message.

The installed autoconf versions are 2.59-r6 2.13, automake versions are 1.7.9-r1 1.8.5-r3 1.5 1.4_p6 1.6.3 1.9.4. So maybe the ebuild is taking the wrong autoconf version?! I have seen no autoconf version selection in the ebuild (like WANT_AUTOCONF=2.5).

Please re-open this, I have the same problem on a fully updated (as of midnight
BST except 2 emul-linux-x86-*) system. I will provide all the info you want ;)

Comment 5 Steffen Jobbagy-Felso 2005-05-23 23:27:36 UTC
I'm using 1.26 (~ all arches) now, seems to work fine, but I'd be happy to get
rid of it and try a fixed 1.25 :)
