Please re-emerge gstreamer then emerge gst-plugins and see if you have same problem.

I have the same problem. 
Re-emerging gstreamer didn't help. 
It seems to be that gconf and it's dependies are messed up, I have gnome-2.6.2 and some gnome-packages with 2.8.x versions, gconf-editor also fails with similiar error. 
I'm going to reemerge the whole gnome and see if it helps.
