Description Tiago Freire 2004-11-19 05:33:35 UTC
Dear Developers,

Portage Rocks! Still, there can always be some improvement.
I wondered why does etc-update asks whether I should replace some files or not, which I never touched. Portage already checksums the sources, it could also store checksums of the config files and etc-update would compare the checksum of the config file at installation time with the checksum of the actual file, and ask what to do only if the file has been changed.

Because default changes are not nice.
