Let's see if I can reproduce. Does 'dmesg' tell > you why it crashed? Maybe OOM or dereference of invalid pointer? I can easily reproduce it. The same error gets thrown every time I try to compile it even if I lower the MAKEOPTS an NTHREADS to 1. In any of those circumstances dmesg doesn't show any new message about the system whatsoever.
I assume dmesg has no relevant output at all then. Please expand -march=native on your machine using something like https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Gcc-ICE-reporting-guide#Expand_-march.3Dnative.2C_exact_gcc_version_and_other_system-specific_options
Reproduced locally as well. Looks like USE=wxwidgets is a prerequisite as well.
Looks similar to https://gcc.gnu.org/PR91375, supposed to be fixed in 9.3.0. Does gcc-9.3.0 work for you?

Let's close it as gcc-9.3.0 went stable.
